County Library is visited by Honey Queen
On March 19, Pennsylvania Honey Queen Alyssa Fine paid a visit to the Bradford County Library. Miss Fine is the statewide spokesperson for the Pennsylvania State Beekeepers Association.
As part of her presentation, she discussed honeybees and their importance. She also answered questions about how to become a beekeeper and what it involves. The children who came learned the bee dance and also made a bee craft to take home. Alyssa said that she is a beekeeper herself and so are her parents. She is a graduate of Penn State’s Agricultural and Extension Education program.
The Bradford County Library is located on Route 6, midway between Troy and Towanda. For more information, call the library at 297-2436 during library hours.
