Memorial Hospital’s teen volunteer orientation, led by Tara Sluyter, Volunteer Services Coordinator, prepared local teens to lend a helping hand and offer friendly smiles to residents on the Skilled Nursing Unit.

Teen volunteers learn about the joys of becoming a volunteer, hospital policies and procedures, patient rights and privacy issues. The students have a choice to volunteer at the Skilled Nursing Unit or the Medical Surgical Unit.
